USC game day

Thought on today's practice (Tues Oct 21, 2009)
 - Coaches Ruel and Morton were a little more lively today, getting in the face of a few offensive players.
 - Overall, Matt Barkley threw the ball well as did Mitch Mustain who completed a nice deep ball early on.
 - During the team period, the defensive forced two fumbles, but it appeared the offensive came out with the ball in each of the two large scrums.
 - Also during the team period, a pass was nearly intercepted but bounced off the hands of a DB and then deflected off another DB into the hand of a fortunate reciever (I believe it was Ronald Johnson or Brice Butler (?))

USC game day video

After the Trojans lost to an inferior Washington team several weeks ago, Hitler had a few choice words about the public backlash.

When Hitler found out about USC's big win against Ohio St a few weeks back, Hitler ranted on about the impact of the game.

Thoughts on Thursday's practice.
- After being out several weeks with a broken foot, Armondo Armstead was back at practice performing light drills
- Defensive line coach Jethro Franklin was a little more fired up then usual when his Defensive Ends were not playing to their capabilities during the individual period
- The defensive line is very depleted at the moment. Nick Perry and Averill Spicer did not practice. Christian Tupou did not participate in all full contact drills. Loni Fangupu is still using a motorized wheelchair to get around Howard Jones Field after breaking his leg.
- After catching a pass and being "jacked up" by the defense during the team run period, Brice Butler took exception and started a shoving match.
- DB Marshall Jones continues to wear a neck brace after breaking a vertebrae and DB Brian Bachum still has one leg wrapped with bandages after his motocycle accident, but he seems to moving around as if hes close to returning.
- CB Torin Harris has been moved up to the second team defense

Thoughts on Friday's practice.
- Practice started at 6:30am in the dark (field lights were turned on for the first time this fall) allowing the coaches to make cross country flights to recruit during the bye weekend.
- The team participated in a lenghty 11-11 period to showcase their younger players
- The offense seamed to get the best of the defense today, although the defense did manage to block one field goal.
- Anthony McCoy had nice TD catch over two defenders easily claiming the play of the day
